Art In Time is a biennial group exhibition of diminutive artworks created by artists who either live in Hawai'i, have familial links to Hawai’i, or invited from overseas. Inspired by Marcel Duchamp’s ready-made and boîte-en-valise series, these artists gave their imaginations free reign in transforming identical small metal boxes into singular expressions of creativity. “The creative act is not performed by the artist alone; the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act." - Marcel Duchamp Artists have designated a portion of their sales to the James Jensen Contemporary Art Acquisition Fund at the Honolulu Museum of Art. ArtInTime was founded in 2018 by Keiko Hatano with KJ Baysa in collaboration with Lisa Shiroma.
